LaMoine MacLaughlin
Author LaMoine MacLaughlin is an arts advocate, teacher, and artist. As Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Northern Lakes Center for the Arts and the Northern Lakes School of the Arts in Amery, Wisconsin, Mr. MacLaughlin has assisted in the development of numerous new art centers and community schools of the arts throughout the United States. In 1996 Mr. MacLaughlin and his wife, Mary Ellen, received the Wisconsin Governor’s Award in Support of the Arts, and in 1999, the Rural Genius Award from the Front Porch Institute. He has been the Director of the National Guild’s Arts Management in Community Institutions (AMICI) Training Institute since 2002, and in 2003 Mr. MacLaughlin was appointed the first Poet Laureate for the City of Amery, Wisconsin. |
