Full members, the core constituency of the Guild, receive a comprehensive package of benefits designed to help community arts education providers increase their capacity and effectiveness. These members interact with the national office and with one another frequently and engage in Guild programs and services on an ongoing basis.

A Full member is a tax-exempt organization or government agency, or division thereof, which offers arts learning opportunities and is committed to the values of quality, accessibility and accountability. Download the Guild's Code of Best Practices (PDF)

Examples of Full member institutions: community schools of the arts, arts and cultural centers, and community divisions of arts centers, universities and colleges, museums, dance and theater companies, government agencies and others.

Gain best practices and models of success that you can rely on for admissions, programming, human resources, governance, student relations, etc. Learn proven principles for assessment and evaluation, program planning, fundraising, partnerships, strategic planning, community engagement and more. Full members save up to 50% on Guild publications. Discounts apply to all staff, trustees, and volunteers at member institutions.

• Access to members-only features on www.nationalguild.org, including an expanded member search, electronic versions of our newsletters, and our Online Resource Center which features a growing library of sample documents, templates and best practices resources for community arts education organizations.  A user name and password are provided and may be shared with all interested parties at your institution.

PARTICIPATE IN PEER NETWORKING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

• Subscribe to the Community Arts Education Listserv where news, advocacy issues and opportunities are announced and members exchange advice and ideas.  Member schools may add email addresses for all interested staff, trustees and volunteers to receive and post listserv messages.

Join us for our national conference, chapter meetings, and regional training events.  Members receive discounted registration for the Conference for Community Arts Education (presented annually by the Guild in a different city each fall).  For conference details, click here.

• Participate in Guild Phone Forums , coordinated by the national office to promote networking and professional development.

Post your profile listing in the "Find a Member" area of our website. Your organization's listing allows prospective students to find you quickly and easily.  You also can use the directory to contact your peers at other Guild member organizations across the country.
