The Community School of the Arts:
The newly restructured CSA includes a piano preparatory program, traditional piano, Suzuki strings, traditional strings, voice lessons, guitar lessons, instrumental lessons, children’s choir, Kindermusik, and numerous group opportunities for children and adults.  It meets in the Goshen College Music Center, which opened in September, 2002 and features a 1000 seat Concert Hall, 300 seat Recital Hall with Taylor and Boody organ, rehearsal rooms, practice rooms and teaching studios.

POSITION

The Community School of the Arts (CSA) at Goshen College is seeking a 3/4-time Piano Program Director to begin August 1, 2005.  This individual will teach group and private lessons, assist the CSA Associate Director with administrative leadership, and supervise student teachers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Masters degree preferred, with 5 years of teaching experience required.  Administrative experience preferred.  Candidate should have a record of collegial relationships with faculty, staff, students, and administration.  Candidate needs to be passionate about pre-college teaching and have a vision for leadership of a longstanding program in a state of the art facility.
