Summary- community school of music and theatre arts in Westchester County seeks grant writer with minimum 3-5 years related development experience. Preferred candidate will have track record of securing foundation, corporate and government funding and a proven ability in donor research and cultivation; strong writing skills; thorough understanding of budgeting; knowledge or background in music or arts education. This individual will be responsible for coordinating Development Department needs relating to foundation and corporate grant writing including research, interaction with faculty, Board-directed development activities and Conservatory staff; all writing assignments, distribution, follow-up, and tracking. They will also assist in aspects of fundraising activities supporting the annual fund, corporate and foundation funding, and major fundraising events. High attention to detail and strong multi-tasking skills are essential. This individual must possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team
