2017 CAELI Financial Application Guidelines & Form

Who May Apply for Financial Aid?

Barriers exist that impede development opportunities for leaders of color and those from small-budget organizations. To promote greater equity and a diverse group of participants, we have made available a limited number of need-based financial aid scholarships to subsidize CAELI registration for leaders of color and representatives of tax-exempt organizations with budgets no larger than $750,000.

Our financial aid funds are limited so we strongly encourage applicants to also pursue other sources of support: board members, foundations, arts councils, etc. To that end, we have drafted a template for a letter you can use to request funding from other sources. If you have further questions, contact director of learning & leadership development James Horton at or 212-268-3337 x12.

The financial aid application deadline is April 7, 2017. Your financial aid application should accompany your other CAELI application materials.

Amount You May Request

The National Guild will consider requests for up to 50% of registration fees (not including room and board at Bryn Mawr).

Application Process

Fill out the online financial aid application form.

Applications to CAELI will be considered independently, prior to requests for financial aid. Consideration of your financial aid request is contingent upon your acceptance into the program.

When reviewing requests for financial aid, we will consider financial need, as measured both by your family income and the budget of your organization.

You will be notified regarding the status of your CAELI Application and financial aid application by May 2, 2017. As noted above, payment of your registration and room and board will be due by 5:00 PM EDT on Monday, May 9.
