The Members Council fosters engagement and promotes communication among and between member organizations; promotes the work of the National Guild; engages in projects determined by Guild leadership; encourages the participation of current and prospective Guild members in Guild events and activities; and provides representation within the National Guild's organizational structure.

All member organizations are encouraged to nominate and elect Council representatives as vacancies occur. A formal nomination process will take place in Fall 2012 in advance of the annual Conference for Community Arts Education in Dallas.
