Chicago Children’s Choir Perform at Obama Farewell Speech

The Voice of Chicago ensemble, a select group within the Chicago Children’s Choir (CCC), recently performed with Eddie Vedder at President Obama’s farewell address in Chicago. The address, which took place January 10, featured Obama’s final address to the nation followed by an Eddie Vedder performance backed by CCC.

According to the Chicago Tribune, “Voice of Chicago is considered the best of the best of the CCC, and according to Adams there is a group of voices within the 100-member VOC that is ready to go when occasions such as this arise. The whole group that serves some 4400 Chicago-area children, is no stranger to fame. It has performed for First Lady Michelle Obama, and also lent an assist on Chance the Rapper’s newest recording “Coloring Book.”
