At last night’s Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Chicago Annual Celebration, the Chicago High School for the Arts (ChiArts) received the Nonprofit of the Year Award. Other nominees included Guild member The People’s Music School as well as Thresholds.

Speaking to YNPN, Marlena Dzis, a development associate at ChiARts, said “ChiArts aims to develop the next generation of diverse, artistically promising scholar-artists who lead fulfilled lives, obtain a level of success that is meaningful to them, and become the active and engaged citizens of tomorrow.”

The YNPN Celebration Awards are meant to recognize excellence in Chicago nonprofits, particularly for professionals that are emerging as leaders in the field. The Awards also recognize the Associate Board of the Year, the Supervisor of the Year, and the Young Nonprofit Professional of the Year.
