Staff Transition at the Guild

« Back

Apr 09, 2014

Associate Director Ken Cole will be leaving the National Guild later this year, having accepted a position at the League of American Orchestras where he will serve as vice president, learning and leadership.

Ken will begin the transition to his new position at the League on June 2. Throughout the summer, he will work part-time at both the Guild and the League until assuming fulltime duties at the League on September 2.

Upon informing the staff of his plans late last week, Ken said "I am deeply grateful to have been able to work with so many talented, passionate people to nurture the creative potential of millions of students nationwide. I'm very proud of all we've accomplished together and look forward to continuing my relationships with Guild staff, trustees, and members in the years to come."
Ken currently oversees the National Guild's program, communications, and marketing departments. Since joining the staff in 2004, Ken has increased the relevance and quality of our programs and services and helped to guide the growth and strategic direction of the Guild. As we say goodbye to Ken, we also celebrate his many achievements and anticipate future collaborations with him in his new role.
A national search for Ken's successor is planned.
