The National Guild's Community Arts Education Leadership Institute (CAELI) provides a transformative experience through which current and aspiring leaders advance their skills by engaging with top leadership trainers and nationally-renowned community arts education practitioners. Designed and facilitated by Partners in Performance, the eight-month program begins in May 2012 with a 360-degree feedback process and advanced assignments, a 5-day/4-night seminar at Bryn Mawr College (Philadelphia, PA), from July 17–21, and follow-up coaching sessions from August through December, 2012.
To optimize the learning experience, participation is limited to 25 individuals selected through a competitive application process. The application deadline is March 30, 2012. Learn more and view the application instructions
CAELI is made possible with major support from the American Express Foundation and additional support from William Penn Foundation and National Endowment for the Arts.
"The Leadership Institute is by far the most meaningful professional development experience I have ever had in my 16 years in the field of community arts education administration. It surpassed my expectations and truly changed my life." -- Ayanna Hudson, Director of Arts Education, Los Angeles County Arts Commission
