The National Center for Creative Aging, in cooperative agreement with the National Endowment for the Arts, is developing a national Creative Aging Directory. Guild associate director, Ken Cole, will be advising NCCA and the NEA on the directory's development. To inquire about a free listing for your organization's arts and aging program, contact Katie Fitzgerald at email@example.com or (202) 895-9456.
The database will be a resource for older adults who want to get involved in the arts, teaching artists looking for partnership opportunities in their area, and more.
Through our Creative Aging Initiative, launched in 2005, the National Guild has been helping members develop their capacity to serve older adults by providing grants, training/technical assistance and information on effective practices. We have also worked to raise awareness of members' creative aging programs. The Creative Aging Directory will be a valuable tool for our field. We encourage Guild member organizations with arts and aging programs to participate.
