This week, Guild Executive Director Jonathan Herman was named one of the top fifty most powerful and influential people in nonprofit arts by Barry's Blog. In his recognition of Jonathan and the Guild, Barry Hessenius states:

"The Guild is part convener, part service organization, part linker, part professional development provider, and part policy formulator - and it does all those tasks effectively."

Included in the arts education category with Jonathan are: Julie Fry, Program Officer, Performing Arts Program, William and Flora Hewlett Foundation; Ayanna Hudson, CAELI Alumna and Director of Arts Education, National Endowment for the Arts; and Sandra Ruppert, Director, Arts Education Partnership.

The Guild is pleased to see the growing recognition of the importance of arts education within the greater nonprofit arts sector and is honored to be included among this distinguished group of accomplished individuals and organizations.
