You can learn more about these inspiring leaders and their achievements here.
About the Milestone program The National Guild has established the Milestone program to recognize individuals who have provided long-standing, exceptional service to the community arts education field. At our Annual Meeting this November, Certificates of Appreciation were given to those who have demonstrated sustained leadership over a period of 20 years or longer. This program is designed to recognize executive directors and divisional school directors at Guild member organizations. Recipients were nominated by their peers for their long-term commitment to supporting and advancing community arts education. Nominations for the Milestone Certificate of Appreciation can be made year-round by anyone and are made by emailing a letter of nomination to the National Guild's member engagement coordinator, Ari Schrier, at arianaschrier@nationalguild.org. Letters of nomination should identify the nominee's long-term commitment to supporting and advancing community arts education, highlighting relevant activities and leadership positions throughout the nominee's career. The nominee's current bio must be included with the nomination letter. Our 2013 Milestone Certificates of Appreciation will be presented during our fall Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL, next November.
