During the 80th annual U.S. Conference for Mayors (USCM), the mayors of the United States called for six arts and culture resolutions to be used throughout the year to demonstrate that mayors' support arts and culture. The resolutions include:
USCM is the official nonpartisan organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more. There are 1,309 such cities in the U.S. today. Each city is represented in the Conference by its chief elected official, the mayor.
