How can community-based arts education organizations offset cuts in government grants and stagnating foundation funding to secure the resources they need to increase access to arts education? Building an efficient, effective major donor program is key. This interactive training will focus on proven, practical methods for developing major donor programs—particularly for organizations with lean staffs and those serving disadvantaged communities.

During this practical and inspiring full-day workshop you will learn how to:

• Leverage existing performances, exhibitions, classes, and other programmatic activities as rich cultivation opportunities for your donors and prospective donors
• Systematize and integrate major gifts into your current development program
• Engage key stakeholders in your major gifts fund raising
• Identify untapped resources within your community
• Ask for a major gift
